During a typical workshop, students complete two or three small studies/paintings, using them to rehearse a number of basic watercolour techniques: mixing washes, painting wet enough, reserving the white of the paper and painting negative spaces, wet-in-wet and wet-on-dry techniques.
Anne does stage-by-stage demonstrations as the class progresses so students can observe her working before completing each stage themselves. Some previous experience with watercolours is preferable but not essential.
